Digital TV, a member of the Digital Tree media group, is the first digital entertainment platform in Cyprus to launch FAST channels across Connected TV (CTV) to the Eastern Mediterranean market. It offers news and entertainment shows, more than 100 global FAST channels, a variety of movies and on-demand series. By partnering with Applicaster and their Zapp app management platform, Digital TV’s viewers can watch daily through the newly designed app on their smartphones, tablets, laptops, AndroidTVs, LG TVs and Samsung TVs.
Digital TV is enhancing digital advertising in the region by introducing CTV, which serves advertisements on multiple devices and electronic game consoles, and FAST channels, a new, modern content monetization model. FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) channels let you watch content based on your favorite genres 24/7 for free with minor advertising interruptions every few hours.

In collaboration with Digital TV’s internal developer team, Applicaster is helping the company scale its frontend stack and build the platform's in-house CMS to manage FAST channel integrations. Zapp has a powerful administration panel with an open architecture that can integrate with any third party given the proper APIs. There is an excellent built-in player with multiple functionalities and the ability for FAST channel monetization with SSAI, and VOD monetization with VAST/VMAP. There are seamless UI updates without the need for creating a new build for every app, users simply have to close and open the app again to see changes, and there are built-in integrations for logins, payments, consent management, etc.
