Zapp V14: Build and Launch Better Apps

As we start 2026, we remain focused on helping you create good apps—not just ones that work, but ones that truly stand out.

After supporting the growth of hundreds of digital media products, we’ve seen that the most successful digital and streaming apps consistently share four core qualities:

  • High performance – Fast, smooth, and responsive, with minimal delays or interruptions
  • Stability – Reliable across devices, with no major bugs
  • Objective-driven feature sets – Built around clear business goals
  • Strong UX/UI – Clear, consistent, and visually polished

Zapp V14 is built around these principles. In this release, we focused on strengthening stability, improving performance, and ensuring a consistent experience across platforms to deliver a more polished UX/UI.

A New App Home Page

We’re introducing a new app home page designed to give you everything you need—faster.

From a single place, you’ll get a quick overview of your app’s performance, easy access to manage your app, and timely updates so you never miss what matters. It’s designed to help you stay informed and in control, without added complexity.

Stability Check-in: Clear Visibility Into App Health

In the previous version, we introduced the App Dashboard, giving you visibility into how your app performs and where there’s room to grow.

Zapp V14 builds on that foundation with a new Stability Check-in section. This addition gives you clear, actionable insights, including:

  • Crash-free session rate
  • Daily crashes per version

With this data, you can quickly identify issues and improve your users’ experience.

The Stability Check-in is supported on iOS, Android, tvOS, Android TV, and Fire TV, with additional platforms coming soon.

Unified TV Layouts: Roku Joins the Experience

Until now, Roku had its own layout—but not anymore.

With Zapp V14, all TV platforms now share the same layout, making it easier to design once and deliver everywhere. This unified approach improves operational efficiency while still leveraging QuickBrick’s flexibility to deliver a high-quality user experience across platforms.

This feature is currently in beta. If you’d like to take part in the beta program, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

App Infrastructure Upgrades

To provide a strong, stable, and high-performance platform, we continuously maintain and upgrade our infrastructure.

In this version, we’ve made several important updates:

  • Upgraded React Native for improved performance and compatibility
  • Implemented Google’s new 16KB page requirement
  • Added support for Samsung’s latest screen-reader accessibility standards

These upgrades help ensure your apps remain performant, compliant, and accessible across platforms.

CMS Enhancements for Faster Workflows

We’ve improved visibility and efficiency within the CMS.

With the new Feed Info button, you can instantly see which feed is connected to the component you’re editing—along with all relevant details. This makes troubleshooting faster and helps teams move with greater confidence.

TV Navigation Improvements

Navigation on Samsung and LG TVs is now faster and more intuitive.

Instead of scrolling all the way back up, users can simply press Back to return to the top menu. The result is a smoother, more user-friendly navigation experience.

Zapp V14 Is Now Available

Zapp V14 is live and ready to use, bringing stronger stability, better performance, and a more consistent experience across mobile, TV, and web.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we move into 2026, even more exciting updates are on the way.

With the data foundation now in place, we’re preparing to introduce generative tools that will elevate how you build and manage your apps. In the first quarter, we’ll launch a generative design tool designed to help you deliver good apps with strong designs—without the need for pixel-perfect manual work.

Stay tuned—this is just the beginning.
